The Living and Music Room of this year’s 2012 ASID Showcase Home is all of the above. This Space, designed in cooperation by Kimberly Herrick of Herrick Design Group, Keri Olson of KOR Interior Design and Codie Donahue of Codie Donahue Interior Design, is beautiful.

Hello – Kimberly Herrick here from Herrick Design Group. I’m always so proud of our ASID Showcase Home and this year I think its exceptional. As a Minneapolis interior designer I love that we were able to utilize the homeowners wonderful art work and antiques, plus a few more we found, and then pull in just the right mix of new furnishings to create an interior design that feels curated not staged. My favorite design aspect is the stunning silk wallcovering, it adds a layer of warmth and elegance that is simply unmatched and its muted blue-green hue is reminiscent of water and so very calming.

I am also very proud of how this year’s 2012 ASID Showcase Home has turned out. This grand Lake of the Isles home was built in 1899 and our challenge was to design this room in keeping with the history and tradtion of the home. I really can’t narrow down just one item that I love the most about this room because to me it is just the warm and welcoming feeling you get once you step into the space. Good morning, Keri Olson from KOR Interior Design. As an interior designer in Minneapolis and St. Paul I am delighted with the 2012 ASID Showcase Home; it is a wonderful example of great design in the Twin Cities. The living room is a soothing space full of mens wear details that fit our clients to a T, grey flannel sofa, silk tie walls, linen trouser window treatments with a cuff and full break. it was fun to design and even better to experience.
